E-wing Escort Starfighter
Affiliation:
Description:

The first dedicated space superiority craft developed for the New Republic military, FreiTek's E-wing is a balanced and powerful fighter. Introduced several years after the Battle of Endor, the E-wing experienced more than its share of teething problems, as the initial design was built around the R7 astromech droid, an advanced custom-built unit which brought a host of its own glitches along with it. As a result, many squadrons were hesitant to adopt, and the E-wing never completely replaced Incom's often-upgraded T-65 X-wing in the New Republic fleet.

T.I.E. Fighter
Affiliation:
Description:

The Twin Ion Engine Starfighter revolutionized fighter design and fundamentally reshaped Imperial military doctrine. Based around Raith Sienar's radical Clone Wars-era SIE-TIE twin ion engine concept, these ships were faster and more maneuverable than anything seen before, and the Empire eagerly began planning to have them replace their aging starfighter force. Though small and cheap, the first full production models lacked the power required to provide adequate shielding, hyperdrive, and life support systems.

Z-95 Headhunter
Affiliation:
Description:

The Incom/Subpro Z-95 Headhunter is one of the most enduring starfighter designs of the last fifty years. First introduced over a decade before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, the Headhunter proved itself to be one of the most adaptable fighters serving the Republic in that conflict, outlasting the later Incom/Subpro ARC-170 both in military and civilian use. When it was finally phased out of the Imperial fleet in favor of the TIE Starfighter family, thousands of these ships flooded the market and could be seen in roles ranging from system defense to hotrod racing.
